ATAL s.r.o., operating in the field of motor vehicle diagnostics since 1992, has built a strong position over three decades both in the Czech Republic and abroad. At Datasession, we are proud of our collaboration and our contribution to the operation of this company through our planning module.

Problem introduction

In today's competitive environment, companies face constant challenges in planning and managing their resources. Similarly, Atal faces the complex task of planning materials based on not only confirmed but also expected sales. This is where our new planning module comes into play.

The application is designed to enable the company to effectively monitor sales and expected materials for production, ensuring that material will be available based on expected sales. With this tool, Atal can also continuously monitor key financial metrics, crucial for strategic management decision-making.

Material planning based on sales is a demanding task that requires coordination across various departments. Although ATAL has a system primarily intended for manufacturing, the system could not provide an effective overview between sales and the required material. Insufficient digitization led to excessive reliance on paper and telephone communication, often causing inaccuracies and errors. It was evident that integration and digitization of the process were necessary to increase efficiency.

To meet this need and save effort, we created the planning module.

Our solution

Our application imports data from the manufacturing system, allowing the sales department to enter expected sales, and production to monitor the required quantity of material. Parameters such as material delivery time help us identify potential problems in a timely manner, enabling a quick and efficient response, for example, in coordination between sales and production.

Conclusion and results

The implementation of our planning module brought ATAL a comprehensive solution for tracking materials for sales. A centralized approach to all key information ensures better communication between departments, automatic alerts for potential issues, and a platform for analysis and reporting. This equips ATAL better for future challenges and allows it to further strengthen its position in the market.
